Google Translate

Google Translate, is a web based translation service. And since 27th September 2008, it has been supporting translation service from Indonesian language to other languages, and vice versa. It translates more accurate than the other translation services (either web-based or computer-based). Maybe you want to try this, compare the result of translation between Google Translate and the other (I choose transtool). Maybe if you try with one word translation you won’t find the differences. But what about paragraph translation? Do you find the differences? what do you think? which one is better?

Transtool will translate a text or paragraph per word. So the accuracy between the result of translation and the right meaning are very small, even very different. What about Goggle Translate? It is the same too. Although it can’t translate accurately, but its translation closes the right meaning. Well, not bad. But I still don’t know how Google Translate works.

One thing that makes me interested is a method called “language detection”. I think you’ve known when you see the name. Well, it can detect language that you put in text area. If you want translate a text but you don’t know what language your string is, you can try it.

Google Translate also can translate a web page. Just fill a URL in the box, then Google Translate will translate it. Even the content of the shout box is translated too. Is it cool? So try it.
